All in all, the plate just looked so plain and unappetizing from the get-go. They didn't even wrap their sandwich wraps in any type of napkin or sandwich paper. I prefer not to receive my sandwich with finger/hand depressions on it. It's much more sanitary to cover the wraps in napkins or sandwich paper.
The sandwich was very dry, with very little sauce within the sandwich. So, the extra sauce was certainly necessary. I was charged $.29 for the sauce, btw.
The waitress, after bringing my order, never returned to the table until she brought the check. I had to get up mid-meal and stand at the bar waiting to ask someone for a refill. The same thing happened when I got ready to pay. I had to go to the bar to pay my check.
I would give them another shot, but not too soon.
The beignets here are to die for! They really are delectable. The service is friendly and accommodating, if definitely recommend coming here if you're in Ponchatoula.
I had lunch at this restaurant today, September 2, 2017.
The wait staff took my order for soup and a sandwich. However, they failed to offer me a choice of wraps for my sandwich. Apparently, they decided upon regular, white wheat for me. I also asked for a small container of the sandwich dressing on the side.
Wonderful as always! The waitress was by herself, No help and she owned it! Great job! Your boss should give you a raise and a promotion.
The waitresses were so nice that I almost forgot I didn't care for their coffee too much and my omlet was pretty bland and boring. The price was reasonable, and the other customers seem to be enjoying their meals so maybe I was having a bad morning.
On a positive note, the chicken and sausage gumbo was very good. And, there's a nice, casual ambience to the place.
When my order arrived, it was just a basic wrap sliced into two pieces and a tiny bit, maybe two tablespoons, of sauce in a very small container.
